BARC Takes the Pledge for California Clean Air Day, Oct. 6th

Health effects of air pollution

Tomorrow is the 4th Annual California Clean Air Day, and BARC is joining residents, businesses, and cities around the state to sign the pledge and commit to cleaner air through actions both large and small. With Californians more than 4 times as likely to experience serious air pollution-related health issues as residents of other states, greater efforts to clean up our air are still critical, despite ambitious state policies to reduce pollution.

In 2020, more than 1.6 million Californians joined hundreds of organizations to make the pledge.

There are two options to take the Clean Air Day Pledge: register as an organization, such as a city, or as an individual or household. Pledges can range from reducing vehicle use to changing a home air filter, planting a tree or buying local produce.
